The Duke seduces her after having her abducted thinking she is the jester’s mistress. Rigoletto vents his rage on them and plots his revenge…
BALLET
A HERO OF OUR TIME Sunday, 9th April at 16h at the Cinemes Illa Carlemany, Escaldes-Engordany. Ballet Direct from the Bolshoi Theatre Moscow. Directed by Kirill Serebrennikov; Choreographed by Yuri Posskhov; Starring IGOR TSVIRKO, OLGA SMIRNOVA and ALEXANDER VODOPETOV. THE STORY: Pechorin, a young officer, embarks on a journey across the Caucasus Mountains, on a path set by his passions. Disillusioned and careless, he inflicts pain on the women around him… This new ballet, first performed in 2015, recounts, in three separate tales, Pechorin’s heartbreaking betrayals, with Pechorin interpreted by a different dancer in each tale. Is he a real hero? Or is he just a man like any other? (Running time: 2h 45mins with one interval.)

MOTHER: Wednesday, 5th April at 21h at the National Auditorium, Ordino. Saison Culturelle 2017 – JACKY TERRASSON & STÉPHANE BELMONDO. (20€ or 5€ for schoolchildren.) The collaboration between the pianist JACKY TERRASSON and trumpeter / flugelhorn player STÉPHANE BELMONDO started followed their debuts in Paris almost thirty years ago. The two have always had a special musical relationship. After losing sight of each other, they met again six years ago. The CD, MOTHER, is the culmination of their recent reunion, giving birth to a musical universe that is both fascinating and fun.
DAVID MICÓ: Friday, 7th April at 21.30 at the National Auditorium, Ordino. (10€) DAVID MICÓ has chosen the National Auditorium of Andorra for the official presentation of his latest album: ORIGINAL SATO. In this disc you can hear musicians such as Big Dani Pérez of Los Rebeldes, Jorge Rebenaque Loquillo and Jordi Mena Enrique Bunbury (who will join Micó on stage for the concert). In ORIGINAL SATO, singer-songwriter David Macó has mixed bases of soul and rock-and-roll, distilling the influence of musicians such as Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan. Ten new songs will be released for the first time on the night of the concert.
ISMAEL GONZALEZ: Saturday, 8th April at 22.30 at Mon Bohemi, La Massana. GONZALEZ, acoustic guitar and singer with a style that has hints of flamenco fusion. He first sang on stage aged 13. He first appeared on television aged 16 and since then has taken part in a number of competitions such as X Factor. Take a listen for yourself.
