MUSIC
LYRIC GALA CONCERT: HANDEL. (Free) Wednesday, 14th June at 20.30 at the Prat del Roure, Escaldes-Engordany. With ONCA BÀSIC & Starring JONAINA SALVADOR (soprano). The operas and oratorios of G. F. Handel combined the best in French, Italian and German baroque music. Through the voice of Jonaina Salvador and a group formed of two violins, a cello and a harpsichord, she will sing some of the most emotional arias from the composer’s lyric production. (There will be an interval when glasses of cava will be offered to the audience.)
BLUETONICS Wednesday, 14th June at 21.30 at the National Auditorium, Ordino. BLUETONICS are an Andorran blues quintet. Rhythm-and-blues and blues in its purest form. Appearing in collaboration with them are two, international artists recognized for their skill with the harmonica: JOAN PAU CUMELLAS and VÍCTOR PUERTAS. JOAN PAU has released twelve albums of his own and taken part in more than thirty-five others. He has played in international festivals all around Europe. VÍCTOR PUERTAS has shared the stage with the best blues harmonica players of our time and played with The Suitcase Brothers, though in this concert his collaboration with Bluetonics is primarily on the organ, his second passion.

CLUB PIOLET’S SUMMER PARTY AT PAL. Saturday, 17th June from 10h – 14h at the Pal ski station, La Massana. (Free) All the children in the country are invited to the party, where there will be all kinds of activities: workshops, games, sports, shows, inflatables… Of course the Children’s TV personalities, PIOLET, VIOLET, and ANDI will also be there with gifts and surprises. So don’t miss the best children’s party in Andorra!

MAXIAVALANCHE EUROPE CUP 2017. Saturday 17th and Sunday, 18th June at the Vallnord Bike Park, La Massana. This is the prelude to the WORLD MOUNTAIN BIKE CHAMPIONSHIP to be held at Vallnord Bike Park a week later. The Maxi race is open to professionals and amateurs alike, and takes place in marathon, downhill enduro format. All participants set out from the Pic de Cubil at 2,350 meters, the highest point of the Vallnord Bike Park, and cross the finishing line in the village of la Massana, at 1,300 meters. That’s a dizzying descent of 1,050 vertical meters promising many thrills.
GP ANDORRA WORLD OUTDOOR TRIAL CHAMPIONSHIPS 2017 4TH LEG. Saturday 17th and Sunday, 18th June in the parish of Sant Julià de Lòria. (Free). The best riders and machines will present spectacular duels and amazing tumbles to achieve a victory that will bring the World Championship closer. The Catalan, Toni Bou, 20 times World Champion (10 outdoors and 10 indoors) and the rider with most titles in the history of this discipline, will once more be the man to beat. The race will be held over two days, with 18 zones each day and in the different categories established by the International Motorcycling Federation (FIM): Trial GP, Trial 2, Trial 125. The best world trial riders will perform magic on their bikes.
