MUSIC
Thursday, 11th July at 19.30h in Plaça Coprínceps, Escaldes-Engordany. Angue & Her Hot Jazz Trio. Rocio Anguè trained in classical singing, but without neglecting the influence of Afro-American music. She mastered the voice, technique and interpretation of the great vocalists in the history of jazz. Beside a guitar and a double bass, she has formed her own Hot Trio. A group dedicated to the interpretation of emblematic standards of the last century, songs that popularized the great divas of jazz. The soul of Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald and so many other jazz masters reborn in the Plaça Coprínceps!
Thursday, 11th July at 21h at the Parish church of San Iscle and Santa Victoria, La Massana. 2nd Iberian Organ Conference with Ignacio Ribas playing La Massana’s unusual Iberian organ and Manel Gibert reading his own poem, Nitid silenci. In this first monographic hearing, there will be a selection from an unpublished book of forty sonatas from the s. XVIII by the composer Rafael Anglés, native of Ràfels (Teruel). From 1762 to 1816, he was the titular organist of the cathedral of Valencia. These works have been lying, silent for two hundred years, in private archives. Until, that is, Ignacio Ribas made a first recording with a selection of sixteen Sonatas commissioned by the Institución Fernando el Católico of the Diputación de Zaragoza, which will soon be released. The music will be adorned with the words of Nitid silenci, written expressly for the occasion by the poet and philosopher Manel Gibert, who will make an alternate reading with the sonatas during the concert.

Different styles (swing, rock, shuffle, etc.) and versions of classic and contemporary Blues artists such as BB King, Eric Clapton, Muddy Waters, Junior Wells, Joe Bonamassa, Susan Tedeschi and Jr. Watson, among others; along with own compositions of the band.
Friday, 12th July at 19.30h in the Plaça Coprínceps, Escaldes-Engordany. Gwen Perry & Michele Faber Trio. A renowned pianist from the Los Angeles scene – and now from Barcelona -, Michele Faber was a pupil of Warne Marsch and Gerald Wiggins, among others, and made a name for herself on the west coast scene as a accompanying musician for Buddy Collette, Bobby Rodríguez and the legendary Leroy Vinnegar. For her part, the also American Gwen Perry has lived in Europe for 30 years and is considered as a singer of extraordinary quality and captivating record. Together they interpret a variety of works, with references to swing ,blues or groove, with a rhythmic and joyful lance that will delight jazz lovers in capital letters. Saturday, 13th July at 22.30h at the cafè teatre La Fada Ignorant, Andorra la Vella: Concerts a La Fada: Bru Ferri and Enric Bartumeu go through their favorite themes: Boleros, classics of pop, jazz and a little free improvisation on piano and voice in an intimate concert of Ignorant Fairy philosophy.
