(Entry: 20€ Comú of Escaldes-Engordany, 1st floor or [email protected] or Tel +376 890 875) Jane Birkin pays homage to Serge Gainsbourg in Birkin / Gainsbourg Le Symphonique. In her latest album, Jane Birkin pays tribute to Gainsbourg with songs written by himself. Gainsbourg was much inspired by classical music. The interpretation of his music by a symphony orchestra and of his lyrics by Jane Birkin, give a new dimension to his work.
Friday, 30th November at 20:30h at the Restaurant Buda, Andorra La Vella (45€) Fund-raising Concert & Supper in Solidarity with the charity, Mans Unides. Accompanied by the group Love it and organised by the charity’s president, Meritxell Farrero (who also organises Andorra’s Language Suppers.) Why not get a bunch of friends together for a great night out! Last year the Andorran branch of this international charity raised a magnificent 140,000€ – with Andorran government help – to finance a hospital in Africa.

(Free) Don’t miss the opportunity to enjoy a night of blues with versions of songs by artists such as BB King, Muddy Waters, Junior Wells, Joe Bonamassa, Susan Tedeschi and Jr.Watson, among others, and compositions from the band. The concert has been organized with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations with Spain. The Barcelona indie music band, Love of Lesbian has been performing for 20 years. They started their career recording three albums in English, then, in 2005, produced their fourth album, Maniobras de escapismo, totally in Spanish. Love of Lesbian have performed at major festivals and produced Gold albums on three occasions, most recently in 2016 with El poeta Halley. In 2010, the Spanish edition of Rolling Stone magazine awarded them the Group of the Year Award. Love of Lesbian have prepared a unique repertoire for this, their first performance in Andorra. Starring: Joanna Kulig, Tomasz Kot, Borys Szyc. The Story: A passionate love story between two people of different backgrounds and temperaments, who are fatefully mismatched and yet condemned to each other. Set against the background of the Cold War in the 1950s in Poland, Berlin, Yugoslavia and Paris, the film depicts an impossible love story in impossible times.
Wednesday, 28th November at 21h30 at La Llacuna Cultural Center, Andorra la Vella. (Over 15s. Nine awards including Cannes Best Actor.) Cineclub Cycle. You Were Never Really Here. Directed by Lynne Ramsay. Starring: Joaquin Phoenix, Judith Roberts, Ekaterina Samsonov. The Story: A traumatized veteran, unafraid of violence, tracks down sexually exploited missing girls for a living. When a job spins out of control, Joe’s nightmares overtake him as a conspiracy is uncovered leading to what may be his death trip or his awakening.

Thursday, 29th November at 18h at the Public Library, Encamp. Storytelling: El Patufet with Vanessa Silva aimed at children from 2 years of age. On this occasion, the chosen story is the classic The Patufet, by the French writer Charles Perrault, who tells the story of a little boy, as small as a chick pea, who wants to help his mother so goes to the country to take his father his lunch. But suddenly it rains and Patufet hides under a cabbage … With this story the children will realize that Patufet, despite being small, is brave and wants to help others.

Saturday, 1st December at 17h in the Sports Complex, Encamp. (5€ adults, children free if pre-booked at 731 490). Patatu is a children’s musical performed by the company Viu el teatre, a co-production with the Grec Festival Barcelona 2014 which was nominated for the best family show in the 2016 Armchair Prizes. Patatu combines a fantastic and imaginative scenery with a stage rhythm that holds the attetion of even the youngest during the entire work. The story starts with Patatu, a real eccentric character. Martí is desperate, but he is always willing to give him a hand, and both are doing well. But in Patatum things are not as they should be; something strange happens: the evil Wizard has made a spell that has transformed the sun and the moon and, in turn, the entire town and its inhabitants. Enjoy the jokes of Patatu and the magic of his friend Martí, who come alive on stage with their friends. Together, they will live an adventure to recover the natural order of things in Patatum.
