Saturday 22nd and Sunday, 23rd September at 11:30h in different parts of the parish of Escaldes-Engordany. (3€ Tickets from Escaldes Tourist office.) Itinerant Street show: “Touristes i Banyistes. (Tourists and Bathers.) The cast will travel through the most emblematic corners of the upper part of Escaldes-Engordany, with the main focus on the evolution of tourism: from bathers looking for thermal waters to 20th century tourists. Through them the show will integrate knowledge of the history of Andorra with an amusing way to discover the interesting places of the parish. The cast of “Tourists and Bathers” will be made up of 25 amateur actors and actresses.

This activity is the initiative of the group of actors who enjoyed taking part in last year’s Living Nativity Scene and thought it would be fun to organise a similar Street Theatre during the summer. “Tourists and Bathers” is under the direction of the teachers of the Animal School of Theatre: Irina Robles and Juanma Casero.

Monday 17th –Thursday, 20th September at 19:45h at the Cinemes Illa Carlemany, Escaldes-Engordany. (For over 16s) The Predator (2018) Directed by Shane Black, starring Boyd Holbrook, Trevante Rhodes, Jacob Tremblay. The Story: When a young boy accidentally triggers the universe’s most lethal hunters’ return to Earth, only a ragtag crew of ex-soldiers and a disgruntled science teacher can prevent the end of the human race.

Tuesday, 18th September at 18h in the public library, Encamp. (Free) Storytime: “Ozzy Ozone, defender of our planet” To commemorate the European Week of Sustainable Mobility which will be held from 16th to 22nd September, the Encamp Library has chosen a children’s story to be offered by Andorra Sostenible. The story in question is ‘Ozzy Ozone, defender of our planet’, a lively reading that explains to children what is the ozone layer, what effects its progressive disappearance entails and what solutions are proposed to avoid it, and everything explained by two nice characters, Ozzy and Zoe.

Friday, 21st September at 18h in the Sports Complex public library, Encamp. Children’s workshop ‘The tree of peace’ with Patricia Calleja. The library will celebrate International Peace Day with this free activity open to all children, which will consist of making a large mural in the form of a tree full of hands where the children will write the word peace in different languages, that is, by letting creativity fly in the design of the lyrics!

Friday, 21st September at 17h in the public library, Pas de la Casa. Children’s workshop “The dove of peace” with Teresa Blanco and Martina Linares The library will celebrate International Peace Day with this free activity open to all children, which will consist of making a great mural in the form of a dove of peace on which participants will write peace-related messages. In addition, throughout the day, the book IMAGINE, a children’s album designed to share with the littlest ones John Lennon’s hunger to create a unique world at peace. Illustrated by Jean Jullien, renowned illustrator and French graphic designer, the book has a prologue written by Yoko Ono Lennon specifically for this publication. You will also be able to see the video clip of the song.

Saturday, 22nd September from 16h to 18h in the public library, Pas de la Casa. Children’s workshop for ages 7 – 14. “Play Junior Scrabble” The Library is organizing this year’s Junior Catalan Scrabble Championships, aimed at children and young people aged from 7 to 14. To practice beforehand in the face of the Championships, it will offer training sessions for the library’s junior users, so that they can practice with the words and become familiar with the rules of the game. These training sessions will be held on Saturdays 22nd and 29th September, and 6th, 13th and 20th October after 16h. Do you enjoy playing with Catalan words? If so come along.

Saturday, 22nd September at 17h starting from Escaldes-Engordany Art Centre, Escaldes-Engordany. ‘The Secret Path’ (Free, aimed at ages 9 to 12. Places limited. Reservations at tel .: 802 255 or by email at [email protected] ) The Secret Path is the title of the guided tour of the street sculptures by the sculptor Jordi Díez.

Sunday, 23rd September (no time given) starting and finishing from the Plaça de les Fontetes de la Massana. The 9th Popular Race AnyósPark. You can now sign up for the 9th AnyósPark popular race, choosing between the 4 km and the 10 km race. The 12€ registration fee for the race includes: the T-shirt, Welcome pack with gifts from our collaborators, 1 hour of free parking by presenting your race dorsal, in the GAVSA de la Massana car park, Refreshments during the race, Cloakroom service, Massage service provided by our Centre of Beauty & Wellness Carita Paris, Special prizes for all podium winners. Saturday, 22nd September from 10h to 12:30h meeting at the Pont de la Plana, Escaldes-Engordany. (42° 30′ 15″,01° 33′ 3″). (Limited places: Inscriptions at 823 000) The last outing of the season through the Madriu-Perafita-Claror Valley – Stories and Legends – The Somhiteatre Company will guide us on a route through the valley that will surely blow your imaginations.
