Naturlandia has fixed 40% growth of visitors in comparison to the period of last New Year holidays

One of three winter resorts of Andorra, Naturlandia, has witnessed an inseparable growth of the amount of tourists in the period from 24th December, 2014 to 6th January, 2015. The majority of the visitors of the park are the citizens of Spain (Catalonia) and France (Occitania).

In accordance to the head of commercial department of the park administration Viki Grau, the growth of the amount of tourists made up 40% in comparison to the previous year.

Because of the amount of precipitations in December, the level of snow cover was insufficient for proper skiing in Andorra (Pyrenees).

“The infrastructure of entertainment in Naturlandia allows having interesting leisure all year round in spite of the weather. The majority of visitors have selected our park because there was few of snow at the slopes of Grandvalira and Vallnord in December”, noted Viki Grau. Contrary to Grandvalira and Vallnord Naturlandia is not a ski resort, but a topical year-round park.

Meanwhile, on 18th January Naturlandia celebrates a World Day of Snow. This traditional holiday is celebrated on penultimate Sunday of January and is considered to be the symbol of healthy way of life and winter entertainments.

It is customary to congratulate everyone in Andorra on the Day of Snow: professional sportsmen and amateurs of active leisure. The program of the event includes many interesting events and surprises for children and adults, games at snow-grounds, “snow rocket” and motorbike competitions, the performances of musicians and the show “Astronauts and explorers”.
