The Olympic flame was transferred to Andorra la Vella in Andorra (Pyrenees) and La Seu d’Urgell, Spain, Catalonia, authorities in connection with the 2018 Olympic Games for adults and children with intellectual disabilities.

The event took place in the city of Sant Just Desvern in the presence of the mayor of this city Josep Perpinyà, mayor and vice-mayor of Andorra la Vella Conchita Marsol and Marc Pons, as well as the mayor and Vice Mayor of La Seu d’Urgell Albert Batalla and Anna Vives.

The Olympic Games will take place from 4 to 7th October 2018. The presence of more than 2,500 people (including athletes, their families, organizers and volunteers) is expected.

The event is held for the first time in the Pyrenees.
