The President of the Republic of Portugal, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, will have an official visit to Andorra on 7th and 8th September 2017. The visit will be timed to the celebration of the Day of Saint Meritxell (patroness of Andorra) – one of the most important holidays of the principality.
This visit is a response to the invitation of the head of the government of Andorra, Antoni Marti, who visited Portugal last September.
On Thursday, 7th September, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa will meet with members of the Andorran government, on Friday, 8th September, he will attend events scheduled to celebrate the Day of Saint Meritxell at the Canillo Temple. In the afternoon, he plans to attend events organized by members of the Portuguese community living in Andorra.
