France and Andorra agreed on toughening the fight against smuggling of tobacco products

France and Andorra agreed on toughening the fight against smuggling of tobacco products. This decision was made in Paris following the meeting of the head of the Andorran government, Antoni Marti, and the French minister of budget, state accounts and civil administration, Gérald Darmanin.

According to the Andorran government press statement, it was decided “to study in detail the issues of cross-border cooperation in the field of police and customs, to collect and process data on violations of the rules for the export of tobacco products from Andorra to France, as well as to develop common measures to ensure order and public safety and combating transnational organized crime”.
