A new stage of cooperation in the sphere of tourism and finances was announced open at the meeting between the Minister for Foreign Affairs of China Wang Yi and his colleague from Andorra (Pyrenees) Gilbert Saboya Sunyé that took place on May 28, 2014 in Beijing.
Wang Yi stated that bilateral relations have witnessed a smooth development since both sides established diplomatic relationship 40 years ago. It should be recalled that diplomatic relations between Andorra and China were established in 1973. The Minister emphasized complete and mutual understanding of general contemporary challenges as well as the specific of each country in particular. In accordance to his words, the relations between two countries evidently prove that “complete understanding and fruitful cooperation between big and small countries is not a myth but the reality”.
Gilbert Saboya noted that, Andorra attaches high importance to its relations with China and cherishes the traditional friendship between both peoples.
Gilbert Saboya together with the Minister for Tourism and Environment of Andorra Francesc Camp, stay on the official visit to China by the invitation of Chinese side. The overall purpose of Andorran delegation is to raise the information level of Chinese population regarding tourism in Andorra.
