Francesc Camp Torres (Andorra, Andorra la Vella, February 25, 1967) is an Andorran businessman and politician. He has been a minister and, currently and since 2019, he is Consul Major and councilor of the Commune of Canillo. He is also the president of Grandvalira since 2022.

Biography

Francesc Camp was born on February 25, 1967 in Andorra la Vella, despite being originally from Ca l’Agustí de Canillo. He is married and has daughters. He completed his undergraduate studies in economics at the University of Toulouse between 1985 and 1988. Also at the same university, between 1989 and 1991, he completed a master’s degree in statistics and econometrics. He complemented his studies with courses in internet marketing and social media management and management. Outside of politics, he has worked in several consulting companies and in the banking entity Crèdit Andorrà.

After the elections to the General Council in 2011, he was appointed Minister of Tourism by the new Head of Government, Antoni Martí Petit, of Democrats for Andorra (DA). In the 2015-2019 legislature he repeated as tourism minister in the second Martí cabinet. At the end of his second term as minister, he left the government and ran in the 2019 municipal elections as head of the DA list in the Commune of Canillo. The candidacy led by Camp obtained close to 60% of the votes and 8 of the 10 available municipal councillors, being appointed the new Consul Major of Canillo to replace Josep Mandicó Calvó, also from DA. As president of ENSISA, the operating company of the Soldeu-El Tarter ski slopes, Francesc Camp was appointed on January 11, 2022, president of Grandvalira for a two-year term.
