During 2017 La Seu d’Urgell, Pyrenees, Catalonia (Spain) was visited by 2,912 car caravans. The tourists spent an average of two nights in the city. About seven motor homes stopped on a specialized parking for vehicles of this type every day.
This type of tourism brought the budget of the city an additional 210 000 euros.
Most tourists came from Spain (40%), France (20%) and Germany (6%).
The convenient location of the caravan parking (it is located not far from the historical and shopping center) – was the main advantage, the campers noted.
