The event will be held on November 30, 2019.
Thousands of people followed by totalitarian ideologues during the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939) and the Second World War (1942-1945) followed this route. These ideologues terrorized people who were forced to flee the night by crossing rivers and mountains to gain freedom which they were denied in their country of origin..
For this reason, Rosa del Nord takes place at night, at the end of cold November, and presages a real test for the participants.
The trial, which starts in Bellestar (Alt Urgell) and reaches Sant Julià de Lòria via the Mas d’Alins, is therefore a race in pairs and entirely self-sufficient (no refreshment points) in two versions: the race (half marathon 22K) and the popular walk. Both cover a total distance of 22 km and climb 1,600 m. The highest point is at 1,570 m and the lowest is at 780 m.
