Equestrian statue of Lafayette in Paris

The bronze statue of LaFayette is an equestrian statue located in Paris (France) between the Grand Palais and the Seine in the 8th arrondissement.

Sculptor: Paul Wayland Bartlett (1865-1925).

The inauguration took place on July 4, 1900, on the anniversary of American independence.

Marie-Joseph de La Fayette, Marquis de La Fayette (6 September 1757 – 20 May 1834), known in the United States as Lafayette, was a French aristocrat, freemason, and military officer who volunteered to join the Continental Army, led by General George Washington, in the American Revolutionary War.
