Andorra participates in the Knowledge, Innovation and Sustainability Discussion Forum to coordinate the upcoming Ibero-American Summit in 2020

The acting minister of Economics, Competitiveness and Innovation of Andorra (Pyrenees), Gilbert Saboya, took part in the presentation of the Knowledge, Innovation and Sustainability Discussion Forum. All these topics will be discussed at the upcoming 27th Ibero-America Summit. The event, organized by the Embassy of Andorra in Madrid (Spain), was held on March 18 at the SEGIB headquarters in Madrid. State Secretary for Education of the Government of Spain, Alejandro Tiana, and Secretary General of the Ibero-American Organization, Rebeca Grynspan, as well as TVE journalist, Carlos Franganillo, also took part in the event.

The session was also attended by various leaders of the Spanish government’s institutions and academia, as well as by the Brazilian Ambassador to Spain, Pompeyo Andreucci, and the Ambassador of the Principality of Andorra in Spain, Jaume Gaytán.

In his speech, Gilbert Saboya stressed the two objectives of the discussion: to strengthen the “strategy of closer ties” with the Latin American community and emphasize the value of innovation as the core of competitiveness for the economy as a whole.

In this regard, the Minister stressed Andorra’s desire to position itself as a “laboratory testing different business models”.
