From 6 to 8 December, Vic (Catalonia, Spain) is transformed into a medieval village with artisans, taverns, knights, tightrope walkers, fairs and children’s street performances.
Vic is the perfect place to recreate the medieval era: places for knights’ jousting, theatre and other entertainment are scattered along the streets near the historic centre. Street stalls offer everything from decorative items, cosmetics and pharmaceutical herbs to clothing and accessories. There is also a wide selection of sausages, cheeses, confectionery, chocolates and other foods.
There are many restaurants and taverns in the Medieval market. Among the most popular dishes are pancakes, grilled meat and sausages, sandwiches and homemade pastries.
The commercial and cultural offer of the Medieval market is complemented by numerous entertainment events of all kinds and for all ages, taking visitors back in time and showing how the townspeople of the time celebrated holidays.
