Girona City Council seeks to promote the use of electric vehicles used by municipal employees and intends to include them in its fleet for business trips.
According to the program, vehicles will be available from Monday to Friday, from 8:00 to 15:00, for municipal employees, and the rest of the time the cars will be available for citizens who want to use them in the framework of an exchange system.
“Our goal is to optimize city trips, and a good way to do it is to bet on electric cars for general use,” said Marti Teres, Advisor for Sustainable Development of Girona City Council, who explained that “the city wants to contribute to reducing greenhouse gas emissions. ”
Girona City Council will also exclude diesel cars from the fleet of municipal vehicles.
