The Cardener is a river in the northeast of the Iberian Peninsula (Spain), a tributary of the Llobregat. It runs through the autonomous community of Catalonia.

It has an average flow rate of 6.5 m³/s. It is born at an altitude of approximately 1100 m, in the Fuentes del Cardener, located in a valley between the Port del Comte (2332 m) and Verd (2271 m) mountain ranges, in the municipality of Coma and Pedra (Solsonés), and flows into the Llobregat river in the municipality of Castellgalí, after a journey of 87 km.

Along its course it passes through the municipalities and towns of Sant Llorenç de Morunys, Solsona, Olius, Clariana de Cardener, Cardona, Súria, Callús, Sant Joan de Vilatorrada, Manresa and Castellgalí.
