The Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 is one of the faster, track-focused iterations in the Cayman line. The 718 Cayman GT4, is designed like the cars in the FIA GT4 series, while it is not actually used in the series itself. With the Porsche 718 Boxster, it is named “718” to pay homage to Porsche’s success at the Targa Florio in 1960.

The Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 was introduced with the new 982 platform for the Boxster/Cayman family. For this generation, the name was changed to 718 to reference the Porsche 718 racecar. The 718 Cayman GT4 us differentiated from less powerful models by more aggressive bodywork, including a lower stance, new front bumper, a large new diffuser, and exhaust pipes that are spaced farther apart.

The Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 uses a 4.0L boxer 6 engine that can generate 414 horsepower and has a top speed of 189 mph. The 718 Cayman GT4 can be equipped with either a 6-speed manual or PDK dual-clutch transmission. The car has a 0-60 time of 4.2 seconds and an average braking distance of 108 feet.
