The Government of Andorra launches a campaign to intensify selective waste collection. An appropriate program was presented by the Minister of Environment, Agriculture and Sustainable Development of Andorra, Silvia Calvo. This program is a part of the state plan for waste management until 2020.
The campaign will start with the sale of products in large supermarkets in special organic packaging. Next stage – is the gradual removal of plastic and its replacement by glass and paper. Andorra hotels also join the campaign.
The issue of constructing of a plant for the processing of organic package in Andorra (Pyrenees) will be also be discussed.
