With the onset of cold weather, Moscow, Russia, is filled with magical light. The 2025–2026 season is no exception: the capital once again blossoms with vibrant decorations, transforming into a gigantic holiday installation.
The soft glow of lanterns blends with the colorful reflections of the decorations, creating a sense of continuous festivity. The “Winter in Moscow” decorations combine modern technology with warm, familiar motifs. LED compositions shimmer with iridescent colors, and the design echoes ancient New Year’s traditions.
Beyond Red Square and the city center, the North River Terminal (Rechnoy Vokzal), reminiscent of a vast palace, is illuminated by warm lights reflecting off the icy surface of the Khimki Reservoir. The park surrounding the terminal is lined with wide avenues—the perfect spot for a deserted New Year’s stroll through Moscow.
