The transport ecomuseum (Écomusée du haut-pays et des transports) is located in the former locomotive depot of Breil-sur-Roya, near the SNCF station, approximately 60 km north-east of Nice, in the Alpes-Maritimes department in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region (France).

The museum presents several locomotives, steam or electric, railcars, a shunter, tramways, buses and trolleybuses, as well as a miniature railway network on HO scale reproducing several emblematic sites of the Tende line.

The museum has numerous railway equipment including the steam locomotive 141 R 11081, the electric locomotives BB 8238 and CC 7140, the diesel locomotive CC 800012, the Y 2423 shunter, the X 2804, 2215, 2217 railcars and the XR 6144 trailer of the “Train des Merveilles”, the PCC TB18 engine of the Marseille tramway, a sleeper car and two postal vans.

There is also a large collection of around thirty road vehicles, buses and trolleybuses, some of which are rental.

The museum is open from May 1 to October 10, Saturdays and Sundays, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. In 2021, the entrance fee is five euros for adults. Children enter free.
