The first photographs of this car, assembled and exhibited at the Moskvich plant, were published by Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin.
Description
The manufacturer presents the Moskvich-8 as a “family” car, so the interior will be designed for seven seats, unlike its Chinese counterpart Sehol X8 Plus, which is sold in several versions: from five to seven seats.
Passengers will have access to the following amenities:
- Ergonomic seats;
- Digital instrument panel with a display diagonal of 12.3 inches;
- All-round camera system;
- Wireless charging for the phone;
- Possibility of connecting to smartphones via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto protocols.
The Moskvich-8 is equipped with a 1.5-liter HFC4GC1.6E gasoline engine with turbocharging and direct fuel injection (GDI). It has an in-line design with four cylinders and is capable of developing 128 kW (174 HP) at 5,500 rpm and a torque of 300 N m at 3,500 rpm.
The engine compression ratio is 9.7:1, and the valve mechanism is designed according to the DOHC scheme. The recommended fuel is AI-92 or AI-95 gasoline.
The gearbox is a seven-speed robotic mechanism with a washer for selecting modes. The drive can be either front or full (optional).
