LiAZ-6228
LiAZ-6228 or GolAZ-6228 is a city bus of an extra large class, which was created on the Scania L94UB chassis by the Golitsynsky Bus Plant.
This bus is designed for large cities with high passenger traffic. It is designed for 142 passengers and has 35 seats. It has a spacious accumulation area, and also has a special device (ramp) for convenient boarding and disembarking of people with disabilities.
The bus complies with Euro-3 environmental standards.
History
The GolAZ-6228 model was first demonstrated at the International Transport Forum ITF-2006, which was held in the Sokolniki Cultural and Exhibition Center in Moscow from April 11 to 14, 2006. This bus was considered promising, since similar models from other manufacturers, such as the MAZ-107 and Volzhanin-6270, had already been successfully used on Moscow routes.
Like the Volzhanin-6270, the GolAZ-6228 bus was created on the basis of the Scania chassis and was equipped with an engine from the same manufacturer.
At the end of 2006, the first four GolAZ-6228 buses entered the Mosgortrans fleet.
From October 2007 to April 2008, the second batch of buses, consisting of 44 units, was delivered. After that, Mosgortrans continued to purchase three-axle MAZ and Volzhanin buses.
In 2007–2008, 77 GolAZ-6228 buses were produced and sold.
Currently, most of the buses of this modification, operated by the State Unitary Enterprise Mosgortrans, have been written off, the rest have also been removed from service and are awaiting write-off.
Modifications
GolAZ-6228.10
GolAZ-6228.10 is a bus designed for intercity passenger transportation over distances of up to 300-500 kilometers. It is based on the Scania L94UB chassis and went into serial production in 2008.
Unlike the city model, GolAZ-6228.10 has a high roof and two doors instead of three. The front door is single-leaf. The bus has 63 seats, and if necessary, it can additionally accommodate 32 standing places for passengers on short-haul routes.
Currently, the production of GolAZ-6228 and GolAZ-6228.10 models has been discontinued. In 2016, the only LiAZ-6228.10 was released.
