Gourette is located in the commune of Eaux-Bonnes in the département of Pyrénées-Atlantiques, on the D 918 road which passes through the Col d’Aubisque mountain pass. The closest air access is Pau Pyrénées Airport.
It is located in a natural amphitheater, surrounded by high mountains reaching 2500 meters. The height of the ski resort itself is 1600 m, it covers an area of 100 hectares.
Gourette has an excellent beginner ski area, unique in the Pyrenees: 14 hectares completely isolated from the rest of the area and ideal for safe training.
Other entertainment includes a fun sleigh ride with the whole family.
The slopes of Cotch and Pène Blanque are for experienced skiers. At the highest point there is a restaurant with a breathtaking view.
There are 42 kilometers of slopes in Gourette (8 green, 11 blue, 17 red and 3 black) and 14 lifts.
Snowparks and playgrounds:
Despite its modest size, the Gourette ski area houses a modern snow park with modules available for skiers of all levels.
There is a children’s park on the Bézou plateau in Happy Place, where you can also enjoy freestyle on adapted modules.
Cross-country skiing:
The only route with a length of 2.6 km.
Taking care of children:
Kindergarten Les Eterloups, located at the foot of the slopes, welcomes children from 5 months to 6 years old. Activities as well as indoor and outdoor games on offer (reservations recommended, meals and snacks not provided).

How to get to?
There are several free parking lots and motorhomes at the station.
From Toulouse (2 hours): Take the A 64 motorway, exit 11 Soumoulou, then towards Pau, Gan, Laruns.
From Bordeaux (3:30) – Paris – Nantes: Take the A 62 motorway, then A65, exit 9.1 Pau West, then towards Pau, Gan, Laruns.
From Pau (1h 40m) – Biarritz (2h 30m): Take the A 64 motorway, exit 9.1 Pau (west), then direction Pau, Gan, Laruns.
Important: From November to May, access on the RN918 is closed between the Col du Soulor and the Col d’Hubis.
