The Château de Tastes, or Château de Sainte-Croix, built in the 14th century, was rebuilt towards the end of the following century. It is located in the village of Sainte-Croix-du-Mont in the French department of Gironde (Nouvelle Aquitaine).
Only a wall, pierced by a trilobed opening, remained from this period. Remains of twin bays and chimneys attest to the existence, in the Middle Ages, of the main building leaning against the curtain walls, on the northwest side.
On the facade overlooking the plateau of Garonne river, the quadrangular enclosure, flanked by round towers and protected by ditches, retains elements of medieval architecture. The major restorations carried out in the 19th century particularly concerned the facade overlooking the river. In the 1970s, the town hall moved into this building.
