Renault Clio (Fifth Generation)

Renault Clio (5th generation)

Renault Clio Facelift in Andorra la Vella (Andorra) during 46th Andorra la Vella Fair

The Renault Clio is a compact car (B-segment) from the French automaker Renault. It first appeared in 1990, and the fifth generation was released in 2019. The Clio has won critical acclaim and has become one of the best-selling cars in Europe since its debut. It was instrumental in helping Renault rebuild its reputation after the difficult 1980s. The Clio has twice been named “European Car of the Year” – in 1991 and 2006, sharing the title with the Volkswagen Golf.

V Generation (BJA)

The fifth-generation model was presented at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show. It is the first model to use the CMF-B HS platform, which is also used by the second-generation Renault Captur, Nissan Juke, and other vehicles.

The fifth generation features an improved interior with higher quality materials and finishes in the top trim levels. The cabin features sports seats and a compact steering wheel.

In higher-end versions, the car is equipped with a 9.3-inch touchscreen with the Easy Link system, which supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The screen also includes navigation from Google Maps and TomTom. The instrument panel with a TFT display allows you to customize the interface to your needs. Features include an electric parking brake, wireless charging for smartphones, an automatic parking system, a 360-degree camera system, lane keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, traffic sign recognition, blind spot warning, and automatic emergency braking.

On April 18, 2023, the car received a significant restyling. The front bumper became more elegant, the headlights thinner, and the radiator grille wider and designed in a checkerboard pattern. The R.S. Line trim level was replaced by the Esprit Alpine. In 2024, the Clio’s steering wheel was updated, adding a new logo inspired by the Symbioz.

On June 8, 2023, the Mitsubishi Colt, a rebadged version of the updated Clio, was presented to the public. The car is available with a hybrid powertrain and a TcE 90 petrol engine, which is paired with a manual transmission.
