Renault Symbioz
Renault Symbioz is a compact crossover SUV from the French automaker Renault, which has been in production since 2024. In the model range, the Symbioz occupies the gap between the Captur and Austral.
Three trim levels are available: Techno, Esprit Alpine and Iconic.
Presentation
The manufacturer announced Symbioz on February 8, 2024, and the official debut took place on May 2 of the same year. The name of the car comes from the Greek word “symbiosis”, which means “to live together”.
The name Symbioz is taken from the name of the Symbioz Concept concept car, an all-electric GT sports coupe presented at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show.
It is an advanced version of the Captur, which is built on the CMF-B HS platform shared by the Renault Clio and Nissan Juke.
Engine
The Renault Symbioz is powered by a 1.6-litre H4M four-cylinder petrol engine producing 107 kW (145 HP) and is coupled with the E-Tech 145 plug-in hybrid powertrain, which is also used in the Clio, Captur and Arkana models. The electric motor is powered by a 1.2 kWh battery.
Price
On May 22, 2024, just a few days after the presentation, Renault announced the prices for the Symbioz. The car will cost between 34,900 and 37,900 euros.
