The Government of Andorra approved the signing of a Memorandum of understanding between the Andorran police and the Federal police of Belgium on 11th May.
The purpose of this agreement is strengthening and expansion of international cooperation of the police of Andorra (Pyrenees) in the areas of security and combating organized crime.
The evolution of crime and especially terrorism makes it necessary that the Andorran police continued its policy of expanding international cooperation with colleagues from Europe and around the world, says the official newsletter of the government of Andorra.
The Memorandum provides that the Andorran police and Belgian police forces will share information in accordance with national and international legislation, through the following activities: special training; exchange of experience and advanced technologies; support research programmes.
