ADIF DT-20
The DT-20 is a Spanish draisine manufactured by Plasser Española in 2000. It was part of the fleet renewal of Adif, the company that operates the Spanish railway network. The DT-20 is a self-propelled railcar equipped with a driver’s cab and a crane.
History
In July 1999, RENFE launched a tender for five self-propelled rail vehicles designed for use on the Iberian gauge (1668 mm).
For this tender, Plasser Española manufactured two of the five cars, while the other three were manufactured by Mermec (two MM 250 GP cars) and Maquivías (MQ-VH-5178 car). However, unlike Mermec and Plasser, whose draisines were successfully accepted into service, Maquivías was unable to fulfill the order and the draisine was immediately scrapped.
