Andorra and Spain signed an agreement on joint activity to improve cross-border infrastructure between two countries

andorra-spain-borderAndorra (Pyrenees) and Spain (Catalonia) signed an agreement on joint activity to improve cross-border infrastructure between two countries. The total cost of works is estimated at 1.8 million euros, while Spain invests 1.5 million euros, Andorra invests 325 000 euros.

The agreement was signed during the meeting of Minister of territorial development of Andorra Jordi Torres, the head of the Ministry of internal Affairs of Andorra Xavier Espot and the Ambassador of Spain in Andorra Manuel Montobbio on Monday.

Among the main actions to improve infrastructures – construction of new building of the Spanish police and checkpoints on both sides to increase capacity of the transport stream. As expected work will begin in 2016.
