The Fiat 600 is a compact crossover (B-segment) that Fiat has been producing since 2023, primarily for Europe. The electric version, the Fiat 600e, was unveiled on July 4, 2023. Gasoline and hybrid variants followed in September of the same year.

The body style is neo-retro, in this case playing on the image of one of the brand’s previous cars, specifically the 1950s body style, after which the car is named.

The Fiat 600 inherited the design of the Fiat New 500. The round headlights and the 600 emblem above the radiator grille emphasize this similarity. In June 2023, the company announced that it would no longer offer cars in gray. The 600 was the first model to embody this new concept. The car is available in four bright colors: orange, green, sand, and blue.

Powertrain

The electric 600e version is equipped with a 54 kWh battery, providing a range of up to 250 miles (400 km) according to the WLTP cycle. Fast DC charging is available with a maximum power of 100 kW. The car is equipped with a single electric motor driving the front wheels, with a power output of 154 hp (115 kW). These parameters are similar to the Avenger model, which also has front-wheel drive and a maximum torque of 192 lb-ft (260 Nm).

From mid-2024, a model with a mild-hybrid gasoline engine became available. This variant includes a 1.2-liter Puretech gasoline engine with 136 hp, paired with a 6-speed eDCT automatic transmission. The transmission includes a 21 kW electric motor, an inverter, a central control unit, and a belt-driven starter-generator. The car is equipped with a 48-volt electrical system, where the electric motor assists the gasoline engine.
