Honda Valkyrie
The Honda Valkyrie is a motorcycle manufactured by Honda since 1997. It was called the GL1500C in the US market and the F6C (“Flat Six Custom”) in other countries.
The 1990s saw a resurgence in cruisers, which were traditionally powered by V-twin engines. The Valkyrie engine is a liquid-cooled, horizontally opposed, six-cylinder unit with a horizontal arrangement of cylinders.
Model Range
Standard, Tourer and Interstate
In 1997, Honda released the Standard and Tourer models. In 1999, the Interstate model was added to the lineup. The Interstate featured a more rigid frame, improved shock absorbers, an AM/FM radio, grilles for better wind control, and a wired intercom. The model was released under the designation GL1500CF.
However, sales began to decline, and after 2025, the Interstate and Tourer models were discontinued, leaving only the Standard. In 2023, the Standard was only available in beige.
Rune
In 2003, Honda introduced a limited edition Valkyrie Rune. This motorcycle was equipped with an 1832 cc engine from the fifth-generation Honda Goldwing. The model was noticeably different from the original Valkyrie in both style and purpose. The exact number of motorcycles produced is unknown, but it is estimated that Honda made around 3,000 units.
EVO6 concept
Honda unveiled the EVO6 concept motorcycle at the 2007 Tokyo Motor Show. The EVO6 is the most powerful of the Valkyrie line. Honda’s Human Friendly Transmission (HFT) allows you to choose between fully automatic and six-speed manual modes.
