Cupra Born

Cupra Born in Andorra la Vella (Andorra)
Cupra Born is the first all-electric C-segment car created by the Spanish company Cupra. The presentation of this model took place in May 2021 in Catalonia (Spain), and the launch of production was planned for the fall of the same year.
Presentation
In May 2021, CUPRA Born was presented – the first electric model of the brand of the subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group. This compact car with a dynamic, sporty design is 4.32 meters long and 1.89 meters wide. The interior is dominated by seats made from recycled materials mined in the Mediterranean Sea.
The name of this model comes from El Born, one of the most famous districts of Barcelona.
Production
This car is based on the MEB platform developed by the Volkswagen Group. It has been produced at the Zwickau plant in Germany since September 2021, together with the Volkswagen ID. Both cars share the same platform. This is the first all-electric car created by SEAT, which was sold under the Cupra logo.
The model has undergone minor aesthetic changes, gaining a sportier look thanks to the new bumper. In 2021, the car went on sale.
Engines
The CUPRA Born is available in two variants: with a 150 HP engine and a range of 350 km, and with a 204 HP engine and an impressive range of 427 km.

The first prototype was announced on February 28, 2019 by SEAT and was first shown at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show as the SEAT el-Born Concept, an electric vehicle classified in the C segment.
