Project 2766 is a twin-screw motor ship, where the superstructure and engine room are located in the stern. In the central part of the ship there are trade and utility rooms. It is designed to provide ships and remote settlements with food and industrial goods without the need to make stops.

In the hold and superstructure there is a store for industrial goods, a warehouse for industrial goods and a warehouse for food products. The ships have a refrigerated compartment for storing perishable products such as meat, fish, dairy products and vegetables.

In the 2000s, many ships in the European part of Russia were converted for passenger transportation. They were made into floating restaurants and pleasure boats.

The superstructures of the ships were increased, passenger cabins and banquet halls were equipped. Depending on the format of the event, such ships can accommodate from 80 to 300 people.
