The Dalí Foundation announces a training scholarship program

The Gala-Salvador Dalí Foundation announces the opening of the 2026 call for applications for the Training Grants Programme, an initiative aimed at reinforcing its role as a reference centre for specialised training in the conservation, restoration, study, catalogue and documentation of works of modern and contemporary art. Through this programme, the Foundation promotes the attraction and training of young professionals through technical training linked to the Foundation’s works of art.

The 2026 edition offers two training grants to people interested in carrying out practical training in subjects within the Foundation’s competence.

The first grant is related to the field of preventive conservation and restoration of sculptures and artistic installations of the Dalí Theatre-Museum, including:

  • preventive conservation and restoration projects and the study,
  • cataloging of materials and techniques of serial sculptures.

The other grant is related to the field of study, cataloguing, documentation and conceptual analysis of graphic works linked to the Dalí Foundation collection. The grant will allow the development of training tasks related to:

  • Study and documentation of graphic works, prints and multiple editions,
  • Conceptual, iconographic and contextual analysis of the works,
  • Review and systematization of information relating to techniques, editions, numbering, inscriptions, provenances and associated bibliography,
  • Support for cataloguing tasks and updating documentary records,
  • Collaboration in the preparation of technical, documentary or informative content linked to graphic works.

The Evaluation and Monitoring Commission is chaired by Estrella de Diego, Academician of the Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando in Madrid (Spain) and member of the Board of Trustees of the Dalí Foundation.

6-month residential grants

The grants will last for 6 consecutive months with the possibility of joining the team at the end, depending on performance and recruitment needs. The total amount of each grant is set at €9,000. The program is residential. The selected people will reside for 6 months in Figueres (Catalonia) and will develop their activities in an exceptional environment: the headquarters of the Dalí Foundation in Figueres, annexed to the Dalí Theatre-Museum. It is planned that the beneficiaries of the grants will carry out their stay from January 2027.

In addition, they will have, among other advantages, special facilities in the use of the Dalí Foundation’s documentary, bibliographical and digital resources and databases, tutored monitoring by a specialist from the institution related to the scope of the call and a workspace at the headquarters of the aforementioned entity.
