Zenit metro station in St. Petersburg

Zenit is a station of the St. Petersburg Metro. It is located on the Nevsko-Vasileostrovskaya line, between the stations “Primorskaya” and “Begovaya” and is located on the western coast of Krestovsky Island, next to the football stadium Gazprom Arena, one of the two stations on the island, Petrogradsky District, St. Petersburg.

The station was opened on May 26, 2018 under the name “Novokrestovskaya” and became the first metro station in St. Petersburg, which is located directly on the banks of the Neva Bay.

On August 14, 2020, the station received its current name based on the recommendation of the Toponymic Commission of St. Petersburg, which was issued on July 10, 2020, a few days after the local football club Zenit won the title of champion of Russia in the year of the 95th anniversary of the club.

Zenith is a columned multi-span shallow station (depth 17 m). It’t a closed-type station. Platform sliding doors are installed along the edges of the platforms.
