Yellow Renault Landaulet Type NM from 1924, six cylinders, 9123 cc, 149 HP, 103 km/h

The Renault Type NM, also known as the 40 CV, was an interwar passenger car model from Renault.

The national licensing authority granted its approval on January 28, 1924. Predecessor was the Renault Type MC. In 1928 the Renault Reinastella followed with an eight-cylinder engine.

The water-cooled six-cylinder engine with 110 mm bore and 160 mm stroke had a displacement of 9123 cm³. The engine power was transmitted to the rear axle via a cardan shaft. Depending on the translation, the maximum speed was specified as 84 km/h to 103 km/h.

With a wheelbase of either 380.1 cm or 399.4 cm and a track width of 144 cm, the vehicle was 493 cm or 501 cm long and 170 cm wide. A wheelbase of 387.1 cm is also known for the year 1926. The turning circle was given as 16 to 17 meters. The chassis weighed 1700 kg, the complete vehicle 2700 kg. There was a choice of touring car, cabriolet, landaulet and Pullman limousine, the latter with both a fixed body and a Weymann body.

Prices for a chassis rose from 80,000 to 85,000 francs in December 1925 to 95,000 francs the following year, to 105,000 francs in October 1927. At this point a seven-seater touring car cost 125,000 francs and a Pullman sedan 132,000 francs.
