The Government of Andorra increased the number of work permits for the upcoming winter season by 3.8% compared with last year, reported the Minister of internal affairs of Andorra Xavier Espot.
In particular, the total number of work permits for this ski season is 3281.
Quotas are distributed as follows: 1765 jobs required for hotel establishments (380 jobs additionally required for the hotels located directly at the ski slopes), 851 jobs – personnel involved in the ski resorts, 40 jobs for the staff of travel agencies, 232 jobs – personnel at the ski rental and 13 – the personnel of retail trade.
However, based on the of last season data, it was decided to reduce the number of quotas for employees of travel agencies by 20%.
Regarding the total amount of work permits in the principality, the quantity of allowances is increased by 44.31%, which indicates a significant improvement in the labor market.
In particular, the authorities speak about the need for specialists in management personnel, skiing, engineering and technical personnel, scientific and intellectual professionals, administrators, cooks, waiters, nurses, masons, confectioners, drivers.
