Vostochny railway station in Moscow

The Vostochny (Vostochniy) railway station for long-distance trains was opened in Moscow on May 29, 2021 by Sergei Sobyanin and Oleg Belozerov. The new station (among 10 railway stations of Moscow) received 24 pairs of long-distance trains that had previously arrived at the Kursk station, including the Lastochka and Strizh trains serving the Moscow-Nizhny Novgorod and Moscow-Ivanovo routes. Also, several transit trains from St. Petersburg, Murmansk and other cities now arrive at Vostochny Station.

TPU “Cherkizovo”

A single transport interchange hub “Cherkizovo” connects the Vostochny station, the Cherkizovskaya metro station, the Cherkizovo station of the Small Ring of the Moscow Railway, the Moscow Central Circle station “Lokomotiv” and city public transport stops.

Vostochny can be convenient for passengers who come to Moscow to get to the airport. It takes 20 minutes to transfer to the Aeroexpress train to Sheremetyevo at the Okruzhnaya MCC station, 30 minutes to the Aeroexpress train to Domodedovo at the Verkhnie Kotly station, and only 12 minutes to the train transfer to Zhukovsky airport (Andronovka station).

Two years later, when the fourth Moscow Central Diameter is launched, it will be possible to get to Vnukovo Airport from the station with one transfer.
