Vintage audio: amplifier and tuner Melody-Stereo. Made in USSR

The stationary transistor radiola Melodiya-101-stereo has been produced at the VEF Radiotehnika RRR since 1975. The radiola of the first class Melodiya-101-stereo developed in 1973 has an all-wave radio receiver and an electronic control unit designed to play mono and stereo recordings.

There is a silent tuning system and a fixed tuning for three radio stations in the VHF-FM band. Rated output power 2×4 W, maximum 2×16 W. The band of reproducible frequencies in the AM path is 50 … 7000 Hz, in the FM and recording 50 … 18000 Hz.

Power consumption when receiving 35 W, EPU operation – 45 W. The radiola consists of four blocks: a receiving-amplifier, with dimensions of 625 x 168 x 320 mm, an EPU of type II-EPU-52S or the like, with dimensions of 413 x 168 x 306 mm and two speakers, with dimensions of 171 x 168 x 300 mm each. The mass of the radiola complete with EPU and AS is about 28 kg.
