VAZ-2109 “Sputnik” (“nine”) – Soviet and Russian front-wheel drive car of the II group of a small class with a hatchback body. Developed and mass-produced at the Volga Automobile Plant in 1987-2004.
From 2004 until the end of 2011, the VAZ-21093 variant was assembled from car kits in Ukraine at the ZAZ plant. It is a five-door modification of the VAZ-2108 in the Lada Sputnik family of models. The VAZ-21093 is a modification with a 1.5-liter carburetor engine (1988-2006).
