Vallnord announced its readiness to open the ski season 2014-2015 on December, 5

Vallnord, one of two ski resorts of Andorra (Pyrenees) announced its readiness to open the ski season 2014-2015 on December 5. Though, due to the small amount of snow, the resort will be opened partially. Thus, the infrastructure of Arcalis sector (the height from 1940 m to 2625m, altitude difference—685m) is totally ready for the beginning of the touristic season.

The cost of ski-pass for the season (it officially finishes on March 31) for adults  makes up 500 euro for new clients, 475 euro—for regular customers; for the children, born in period from 1999-2008 – 400 euro (375 euro). The children, born in 2009 and younger ski for free. A ski-pass for half-a-day period costs 30 euro (for adults) and 24 euro (for the children, born in 1999-2008).

As for another sector Pal-Arinsal (the height from 1550m to 2560m, altitude difference—1010m), will probably be opened in the second half of December. Meanwhile, in accordance to the forecasts of meteorological service of Andorra, in the next 2 days Andorra expects snowfalls and general temperature decrease.
