Fuel taxes are at the center of much debate today. The Andorran Government has decided to take measures in favor of transport companies of Andorra. From January 2019, the new regulations for the taxation of hydrocarbons will come into force.
Freight and private transport professionals will be subject to a tax reduction based on the energy efficiency of the vehicle’s engine according to the European classification of gas emissions. In addition, the current quantitative restriction of 25,000 liters per year will be removed. The amount of the partial refund will be 0.14€ per liter consumed for vehicles classified as “Euro 6”, 0.12€ for vehicles classified as “Euro 5” and 0.10€ for those classified as “Euro 4”.
