Today Minister of Tourism and Trade of Andorra (Pyrenees) Francesc Camp has reported about main data on the number of foreign investments in 2016. According to official data, foreign investment accounted for 3.8% of the total GDP of Andorra. The volume of investments from Spain decreased from 53.7% in 2015 to 39.6% in 2016, and from France, on the contrary, increased from 12.5% in 2015 to 20.6% in 2016. At the same time, Spain still remains the main investor into Andorran economy.
Speaking about the most interesting sectors of economy for investments Francesc Camp said about the companies, like asset management, as well as companies specializing in the services and commercial activities.
The total investments in Andorra in 2016 was 97.1 million euros, which is 0.2% more than in 2015 (96.9 million euros).
Francesc Camp has noted that “the Government of Andorra will continue to promote foreign investment, facilitate and diversify the sources of foreign investments”.
