Miguel Angel Donadio, the professional makeup artist for Givenchy and the makeup teacher at the Givenchy school in Barcelona, told all–andorra.com about the 2019 spring-summer season fashion trends, gave some tips on the art of makeup and named several cosmetics that every woman should always have on them:
“Givenchy is a brand widely known in the world of high fashion. Cosmetics from this brand are often used for fashion shows. However, Givenchy cosmetics are very easy to use and suitable for everyday life too. The palette is not as wide as that of some other luxury brands however, this shouldn’t be seen as a disadvantage but as a virtue. Givenchy cosmetics are simple.
The novelties of this season are two lip glosses: one which is orange and one which is transparent with a tint of blue. Both shine, nourish and moisturize the lips. This year, orange is the big hit and the main trend to be following. Not only for the lips but for the eyes too – just give free rein to your imagination … This colour looks amazing on a tanned face. A tan this summer is in fashion! The best orange lipstick, in my opinion, is number 304 – the colour is called Mandarin Bolero. There is also the same colour available in nail polish.
The mascara of this spring-summer season is black, giving volume. For those who love to use more daring makeup, there is also a bright blue mascara in the collection. An essential care product is the Base Mascara Perfecto, a mascara base. I recommend applying it at night. You will see the effects very quickly …
All Givenchy summer cosmetics are water repellent and contain protection factors (SPF) of at least 20.
Another new product is the highlighter (Illuminateur – fr.). This is a special powder that has a light texture and contains light-reflecting particles. The colours are natural pink and golden beige. The highlighter gives the face a rested and tanned look, contours and acts as a cover-up too.
When I am asked what kind of cosmetics are a must have for every woman who wants to look fresh and attractive but does not have a lot of time for herself every day, I can name a few items. First, there is the base tone – the basis of any makeup. It should be very light in texture, which gives the skin a natural freshness. Givenchy has 20 shades of traditional tonal fluids, 10 transparent ones and also two “2 in 1” highlighters – “Teint culture”, which have the effect of being a “second skin”. In my opinion, these are indispensable!
Next, is a concealer – a cosmetic which is designed to mask small imperfections, for example, a darker colour under the eyes.
Be sure to use mascara and a translucent lipstick in natural shades. I’m talking about basic makeup for every day.
Givenchy also suggests using an eyebrow gel which comes in colourless, brown and dark grey. This is a great way to “tame” hard eyebrows.
I advise you to pay special attention to Givenchy’s ‘Gloss Interdit 16 Noir Revelateur’. The texture and the tinting fluid (tint) natural pink color create a trendy “effect of kissed lips”.
