The Government of Andorra and the Crèdit Andorrà Foundation, patrons of the ONCA Foundation, closed this year’s educational project with the Trompa Conte, which aims to make music live with the family.

“The trumpets are recessed”, a musical tale by David Puertas will take place on Saturday, November 10th, during three performances, at 11 am, at 12:00 p.m. at 4 p.m., at the Prat del Roure in Escaldes-Engordany, Andorra  (Pyrenees).

According to David Puertas, “these are small-format works that tell the story of an instrument which brings music to children. They allow it to stimulate the fantasy and the imagination of the children and to get to know the musical instruments, their sound and form. “From that day …” reflects the idea that the writer Rudyard Kipling developed in his stories published with the title Just like this (1902), in which he told his daughter the story about why elephants have a horn or why tigers scratch. From this fantasy game about why things have been created, I have created a series of musical stories in which he explains why (supposedly) the instruments are as we know them ” In this case, “Conta de la Trompa” is played by Glòria Puertas in the narration accompanied by the Pepe Reche, with music from Tchaikovsky, Rossini and Mozart.

The programming of the musical stories of David Puertas represented the beginning of the educational project in 2011, with the “Conte del Violí” and the “Conte del Violoncel” (commissioned by the ONCA Foundation). During the past years, the “Conte of the Clarinet” and “Conte of the Double Bass” have also been seen by the public.

The concert is recommended for children from 3 years and has a duration of forty minutes. The show has the support of the Comú d’Escaldes-Engordany.
