The TOBOTRONK in Naturlandiya park is closed until managing company (owner) executes all technical requirements on safety of the control organization. It was reported by the Ministry of public administration, transport and telecommunications of Andorra.
Besides, the penalty of 60000 euros for non-execution of the requirements by specified dates can be imposed on Comprabassa (managing company of Naturlandiya park). The representative of the Ministry also noted, that various instructions connected with elimination of technical discrepancies for standards of safety of operation of a complex were taken out within a year earlier. The last technical inspection performed at the end of October, 2015 indicated non-execution of these instructions.
Within the last year management of the company has already got different penalties for various technical violations, noted in the Ministry.
TOBOTRONC is the longest alpine toboggan in Europe. Its length is more than 5,300 meters with 400 meters of altitude differences. The system has 1,700 ascents and 3,600 descents. The whole descent takes about 30 minutes.
