The Government of Andorra, meeting today at the Council of Ministers, has approved the tender for new projects included in the improvement of the landscape in the urban border area of Pas de la Casa (Encamp parish) in Andorra (Pyrenees), a project that the Government has been developing since May 2016, and for which several actions have already been carried out.
The projects of the new phase bid on today propose the arrangement of the Avenida del Consejo General and a section of the CG2. In this sense, it will be rearranged, and a stretch of 350 meters will be embedded, between the beginning of General Council Avenue (CG2) and the bridge over the Ariège River.
The planned actions, among others, are the consolidation of the turning point that is currently provisionally implemented in front of the sports center; the ordering and provision of maximum security for both vehicles and pedestrians in the parking area of the avenue of the General Council; the installation of a new lighting that fits with the space; expansion of sidewalks; and the installation of urban furniture.
