The road between Andorra and La Seu d’Urgell (Spain, Catalonia, Pyrenees) is blocked due to connection with the verdict against leaders of the independence movement of Catalonia.
A group of demonstrators today blocked the road N-145 connecting Andorra with the Catalan city on the border of Spain and Andorra – La Seu d’Urgell.
The strike in connection with the verdict against leaders of the independence movement of Catalonia began at 6:15 in the morning, and about 80 people took part in it. However, by 10:00 the number of protesters reached 400 people – all of them were walking towards the border of Spain and Andorra.
The only way to get from Spain to Andorra today is bypass from Castell Ciutat to Anserall. The movement is slow, there are large traffic jams.
The Sant Ermengol cheese fair, which was due to open this Friday, canceled all scheduled events and will not be open until Saturday.
